Rules and description of Events
Waiver
A waiver must be signed by all participants of legal age or by the parent or legal guardian of minors. All participants must wear a helmet at all the events. Waiver are available in Guest Services.
Dual Course Fun Race & Match Your Time Race - sign up deadline is 12pm march 14.
For all ages and ability.
Dual Course - Race your friend, your mom, your dad
Match Your Time - You don't need to be fast to win. Ski/Ride the course a second time and try to match your first time. The participant with the closest matched
time wins.
Human dog sled race
For all ages and ability. One person is in the sled, and six to ten members of the team pull the sled around a pre-determined course.
Cardboard and duck tape race
Very simple - build a unit that is constructed of only cardboard and duck tape. A rider/operator must be on or inside and it must survive the 300 meter course. The winner will be decided on the fastest time down the hill. If no craft makes it to the finish line, then the most creative unit wins.
Fun snowshoe race
For all ages and ability. We will supply snowshoes if you don't own a pair. This will be a short 300 meter race course.
Caterpillar race
For all ages and ability. A team of six stand on two 4 by 4's holding on to the ropes attached. The team must slide right foot forward while being synchronized and then slide the left foot forward. The fastest team to cross the finish line wins. This requires coordination with all team members
Tug of War
For all ages and ability. In the middle of a rope is a flag. Teams on each side must try to pull harder than the other side to gett the flag past the cones.
Slush pit crossing - sign up deadine is 2:30pm March 14
The goal of this event is to cross the slush pit without falling into the freezing cold pit. Be sure to have a spare change of clothes in the event that you do fall in. Participants will be required to show proof of spare clothing prior to participating. Participants are not allowed to use ski poles in this event.
Treasure hunt for kids
Ski or snowboard equipment not required This event will be held in the base area and buildings. Kids will be given a paper indicating where to find the first clue. At each treasure location there will be a number or clue that they will need to write on the paper given. The first one to get all numbers or clues wins.
