Tentative Schedule of Event

  

Sunday, March 18, 2012 - 
  • Donna O'Brian will be performing throughout the daywhite-rabbitt-start
  • All Day, Face painting & Tattoo
  • 10:30 am, Demonstration of a lift evacuation on the double chair
  • 12:00 noon - Treasure hunt for kids
  • 12:30 pm - Match your time race
  • 1:00pm - Cardboard and duck tape race
  • 1:30 pm - Fun Snowshoe Race
  • 2:00 pm - Tug-A-war
  • 2:30 pm - Judging for the Best Costume & Medal Presentation
  • 2:45 pm - Human Dog Sled Race
  • 3:30 pm - Slush pit crossing

    Rules and description of Events


Waiver
A waiver must be signed by all participants of legal age or by the parent or legal guardian of minors. All participants must wear a helmet at all the events. Waivers are available in Guest Services.

  Match Your Time Race - Waiver required. - sign up deadline is 11:45am March 18.
  For all ages and ability.
 Match Your Time - You don't need to be fast to win. Ski/Ride the course a second time and try to match  your first time. The participant with the closest matchedthumb_adogsled time wins.

Cardboard and duck tape race - Waiver required.
  Very simple - build a unit that is constructed of only cardboard and duck tape. A rider/operator must be on or inside and it must survive the 300 meter course. The winner will be decided on the fastest time down the hill. If no craft makes it to the finish line, then the most creative unit wins. 

 Fun snowshoe race
  For all ages and ability. We will supply snowshoes if you don't own a pair. This will be a short 300 meter race course.

 Human Dog Sled Race
  For all ages and ability. One person sits in the sled and six to ten members on the team pull the person on the sled around a pre-determined course.
Tug of War
  For all ages and ability. In the middle of a rope is a flag. Teams on each side must try to pull harder than the other side to gett the flag past the cones.

 Slush pit crossing  Waiver required. - sign up deadine is 3:00pm March 18, 2012
The goal of this event is to cross the slush pit without falling into the freezing cold pit. Be sure to have a spare change of clothes in the event that you do fall in. Participants will be required to show proof of spare clothing prior to participating. Participants are not allowed to use ski poles in this event.

Treasure hunt for kids
Ski or snowboard equipment not required This event will be held in the base area and buildings. Kids will be given a paper indicating where to find the first clue. At each treasure location there will be a number or clue that they will need to write on the paper given. The first one to get all numbers or clues wins.
